Program Mission Statement:
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (CS) prepares students in the theory and methods of processing information in digital computers, the design of computer hardware and software, and the application of computing and networking technologies in business and science.
Although the CS program is offered in the College of Business, it is a non-business degree.
Each program offered in the College of Business maintains an Integrated Program Matrix (IPM). The IPM shows how the Mission & Learning Objectives of that program align with
the Vision & Goal Statements of the University, and
the Mission & Core Competencies of the College.
In addition to the IPM, each program at FGCU is governed by an Academic Learning Compact (ALC). The ALC discusses Learning Outcomes and Assessment Strategies for the program.
