Welcome to ACE!

The Accelerated Collegiate Experience (ACE) at Florida Gulf Coast University is designed to bring a unique educational experience to qualified junior and senior high school students who are seeking advanced study options. The program provides part-time or  full-time study at Florida Gulf Coast University in which students earn college credit while simultaneously completing a high school diploma. Additionally, the program is designed to provide co-curricular experiences to further enhance appreciation for learning, critical thinking and connection to our community and environment.  High school juniors who enroll in the ACE program full- time and who meet qualifying criteria during their first year in the program  will be able to join The ACE Honors Program during their senior year.  Participants in the ACE Honors Program will have access to FGCU Honors Program classes which include enriched curriculum taught by Honors Fellows and may include research opportunities in either the sciences or social sciences.  Whether taking university courses on a part-time or full-time basis, the Accelerated Collegiate Experience at Florida Gulf Coast University seeks applicants who:

  • have high motivation for academic success
  • have demonstrated readiness for high-level and demanding study
  • have interest in participating in stimulating and challenging classes and co-curricular activities
