The collegiate experience is an exciting time of individual growth and development, not only academically but socially and civically. It is a time for connection, change and action. Florida Gulf Coast University brings this experience to exceptional high school students through the Accelerated Collegiate Experience (ACE). Students in the ACE program are seeking a higher level educational experience with access to state-of-the-art resources including renowned professors, laboratories, student services and much more. It is a real college experience, but with individual guidance from ACE staff who are dedicated to student success in the program. FGCU's partnership with local school districts and parents of home-schooled children allows students to seamlessly pursue their high school diploma while accruing college credit. Beyond the classroom, ACE students have opportunities for targeted co-curricular activities designed to enhance their appreciation for learning, community and the environment. These activities include research, leadership development, internships and high impact service projects. Confident in working with information and ideas, their own and of others, ACE students become reflective learners and leaders, equipped for new and future challenges. They become engaged intellectually and socially, ready to make a difference in their world.
