Lori Smith began working for Florida Gulf Coast University in September 2008 and recently joined the Office of Adaptive Services as Disability Counselor.  A Fort Myers native, Lori returned to the Fort Myers area in 2006 after previously working for Saint Leo University and the University of Florida.  She earned her BS in Secondary Education from FGCU in 1999 and her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from UF in 2001.  Lori assists students with issues related to the transition to college, academic and organizational strategies, and communication skills.  When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, traveling, and watching football.
