What to Expect Next? Steps to Completing your Application
Your application for admission has been received and it is going through the admissions review process. Important information about what to expect next is explained below.

Completing your Application for Admission
Please allow at least six (6) weeks for your application to go through review process. There are numerous factors that can affect the timing of this evaluation including the complexity of your record, the need for a committee review, or the volume of applications received at certain times of the year. Applications that are completed during our peak period (December through February) may expect to wait a little longer. Our review process is very thorough as we want to make sure we construct a complete admissions profile, so please be patient as you will receive notification when a decision has been made.
The required items depend on the type of application you have made and whether you have attended another college or university before applying to FGCU. You can review the list of required items by logging into your Future Eagle Account. If there are any outstanding items, please send them to our office as quickly as possible. You must send all documents directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
All transcripts must be official and sent directly to The Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Please send official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended. We cannot accept college credit off of another colleges or university’s transcript. Failure to send all transcripts will delay the application process.
Will be accepted as official if they are sent directly from the College Board or ACT. Please make sure to include FGCU’s School Code for the SAT (5221) and the ACT (0733).
Our admission deadlines vary based on your student type (i.e., freshman or transfer) and the term your seeking admissions. There is a priority admissions deadline for Freshman applicants for the summer and fall terms. Students who are admitted by February 15th will be given 1st priority for enrollment. Students who qualify for admission after this date will be offered admission on a space available basis. Please note that this applies to First Time in College applicants only, and transfers (including Second Bachelor Degree) should refer to the web site for their own application deadlines.
Orientation & Immunization
If you are admitted to the University you will need to register for an Eagle View Orientation session (you can only sign up after you have been admitted to FGCU). Orientation is required and is an essential first step in your transition to the university environment. At orientation you will receive important information that will facilitate your success at FGCU. You will receive academic advising and will be able to register for classes. Students who do not register for orientation in a timely manner may be subject to have their admissions cancelled. If you have not already done so, you will be required to provide proof of immunization before you can register for classes. You may apply for housing after you are officially admitted to the university by visiting the Office of Housing & Residence Life web site at http://studentservices.fgcu.edu/Housing/. We encourage you to visit this website for updated information on the housing application fees and deadlines. Housing does have a priority deadlines for applications and if you are interested in living on campus, you need to apply EARLY!
Tuition Waivers, Scholarships and Financial Aid
If you have not yet filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), we encourage you to do so immediately at www.fafsa.ed.gov. If you have completed the FAFSA but did not include FGCU among the colleges and universities that should receive your application information, you can add FGCU to your FAFSA record by making corrections at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Be sure to include our FAFSA Code: 032553. Make sure you report your e-mail address on the FAFSA since FGCU will send financial aid award notices to students by e-mail. The Financial Aid and Scholarship office will have more information on scholarships and the financial aid process. Information about Admission Scholarships and Waivers can be found on the Office of Admissions website.

If you have not already done so, we encourage you to visit our campus and experience first-hand the qualities that make FGCU such an outstanding university. Eagle Expo is an opportunity to not only see our campus but to be able to speak with current students, faculty members, advisor and staff who are a part of the everyday environment at FGCU.
