Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible – up to twelve months before the requested entry date. The application and all official supporting documents must be submitted two weeks prior to the deadline for admissions for the requested entry date. Transcripts and test scores received and opened by the university may not be transferred to a third party or the applicant and become the sole property of FGCU. Admission deadlines for Early Admission and Dual Enrollment applicants are as follows:

*PLEASE NOTE: This is a decision deadline NOT an application deadline. In order to register for the requested term of entry, an admission decision must be made by the date above. This means that all required official documentation must be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at least 2 WEEKS prior to this date.
Admission Criteria
Dual Enrollment students must:
- Have a weighted 3.3 grade point average in the recalculated GPA in academic courses,
- Have achieved test scores on the ACT of 23 composite or higher, or on the SAT Reasoning of 1600 (total of Critical Reading, Math, and Writing) or higher,
- Have achieved at least a minimum SAT Reasoning revised Critical Reading score of 440, Writing score of 440, and Math score of 440 or ACT minimum score of 17 for English, 19 for Math, and 18 for Reading,
- Not have completed sufficient units to qualify for high school graduation, and must apply all credits earned to meeting high school graduation requirements. Immediately up completing their sophomore year requirements, (minimum of four terms of full-time secondary enrollment) students shall be permitted to enroll, having met the entrance criteria,
- Have the written approval of the high school principal or designee as to eligibility,
- Have the written approval of parent or guardian.
Early Admission students must be designated as seniors in their high school and must:
- Have a weighted 3.3 grade point average in the recalculated GPA in academic courses,
- Have achieved test scores on the ACT of 23 composite or higher, or on the SAT Reasoning of 1600 (total of Critical Reading, Math, and Writing) or higher,
- Have achieved at least a minimum SAT Reasoning revised Critical Reading score of 440, Writing score of 440, and Math score of 440 or ACT minimum score of 17 for English, 19 for Math, and 18 for Reading,
- Not have completed sufficient units to qualify for high school graduation, and must apply all credits earned to meeting high school graduation requirements and University criteria for degree completion. Immediately upon completing their junior year requirements, (minimum of six terms of full-time secondary enrollment) students shall be permitted to enroll, having met the entrance criteria for seniors,
- Have the written approval of the high school principal or designee as to eligibility,
- Have the written approval of parent or guardian.
Continuing Beyond High School
Students enrolled in the Early Admission program may continue as degree students at FGCU upon submission of a final high school transcript. No additional application or fee is required.
Students enrolled in the Dual Enrollment program wishing to continue at FGCU must submit a regular degree application, application fee and a final high school transcript. The application will be evaluated in the same manner as a lower level transfer student.
