All prospective students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with application deadlines and general information regarding the process of admission at Florida Gulf Coast University.  Prospective students can apply by requesting a hard copy application to be sent to your home address, by downloading and printing the PDF version of the application,or by applying on-line through this website.

Please apply for the term you intend to actually enroll at FGCU.  Your application and admission is only good for the term for which you apply.  Please carefully check the application term when you are filling out the application.

If circumstances prevent you from enrolling at FGCU for the term which you are admitted, you must submit a Change of Term form [.pdf - 56kb] (you can only do this for two (2) semesters beyond your original application term).  Students who submit this form are not guaranteed admission in their new term.  Admission will be based on meeting admissions requirements for the new term and space availability. 

*Summer applicants please only apply for the summer term if you intend to enroll in the summer!

Application Fee Waivers

Application fees will only be waived in the following situations:

• When students submit a Request for Waiver of College Application Fee from the SAT or ACT Program Fee Waiver Service. These forms are obtained from the High School counselors. Students must submit these once they are completed to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by mail or fax.  Application fee waivers received and opened by the university may not be transferred to a third party or the applicant and become the sole property of FGCU. The SAT or ACT Test Fee Waiver forms will not be accepted as application fee waivers.
• When students submit an Application for Fee Waiver Form from the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).  These forms are obtained from NACAC, then given to the High School counselor who then must mail the Fee Waiver Form directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Only the most up-to-date version of the form will be accepted along with the high school's raised seal or stamp.  The Economic Need category must be checked or the request will be denied.  Application fee waivers received and opened by the university may not be transferred to a third party or the applicant and become the sole property of FGCU.

You are encouraged to apply using our on-line application. To use this on-line application you should be prepared to pay the $30 non-refundable  application fee with a major credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa).  You will be asked to create a Login ID and PIN.

IMPORTANT: Remember to write down your Login ID and PIN, as University personnel will not have access to self-created Login IDs and PINs. If you do not remember either your ID, PIN, or both - you will have to create a new application.  Please note that your Login ID is case sensitive.
