Jelene Grace

 Jelene Grace

Originally from San Antonio Texas, Jelene completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading from Texas Woman’s University and her Master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Texas A&M University. Jelene comes to the office most recently from Miami University (of Ohio) where she worked as a First Year Advisor/Resident Director and most recently as an Assistant Director working with first year advising and living learning communities. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family/friends, reading, shopping, baking, cruising and loves anything purple.

Serina Bolinsky

Serina obtained her B.A. in Psychology at Bloomsburg University of PA. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she worked as an advocate and, later, shelter coordinator at The Women’s Center Inc. empowering domestic violence and sexual assault survivors. Empowering others still remains a passion of hers and will carry on in her work with FGCU students. She returned to Bloomsburg University of PA to obtain a M.Ed. in Counseling and College Student Affairs where she gained experience working with students in career development, academic achievement and retention programs, TRiO Upward Bound, and first year programs. Serina is a curious and intuitive person who enjoys spending time with her large family and exploring the SW Florida area (especially the beaches!).

Kaci Carter

Kaci obtained her B.S. in Human Services at Old Dominion University of Virginia. During her undergraduate time Kaci served as a Resident Assistant which later led her to pursue a Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration at the University of Virginia. As a graduate assistant Kaci served at Piedmont Virginia Community College in the Admissions and Advising Office, working closely with students with disabilities. In her spare time, Kaci enjoys running, shopping, and baking sweets!

Megan Jensen

Megan has lived in Southwest Florida most of her life.  She attended Florida Gulf Coast University and received her B.A in Secondary Education; Social Science. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, while working towards her degree. After graduating she worked for FSW in the financial aid department. Now back at her Alma Mater, she’s excited to take on her new position in First Year Advising. In her free time she enjoys running, traveling, reading, hanging with her family and friends and playing with her spunky Jack Russell. She also has a love for elephants and has adopted one over in Kenya named Panda.

Gillian Mayglothling

Gillian was born and raised in New York state. She attended the State University of New York College at Oneonta and received her B.S. in Business Economics. A few years after graduation she realized she missed the energy that working with college students brings so she went back to school at Binghamton University and received her M.S. in Student Affairs Administration. Gillian has experience working in many different offices such as Residential Life, Financial Aid, Campus Activities, Learning Support Services and First Year Experience. She is excited to bring her passion for helping students succeed to FGCU. Gillian enjoys exploring Florida, and all that it has to offer, with her favorite four legged friend Duncan who is a labrador/golden retriever mix.

Erik Wilkinson

Erik grew up in Michigan but graduated from FGCU with his bachelors in Political Science. While at FGCU, Erik was an active member of Greek Life and spent two summers working for Eagle View Orientation. It was these experiences that inspired him to pursue a career in Student Affairs. Since graduating from Florida State University with his Master’s in Higher Education, Erik has worked as both an academic advisor and career counselor at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and at New College of Florida in Sarasota. Outside of work Erik is an avid college football fan, a geocacher, and enjoys reading fantasy novels.

Rickey Williams

Rickey attended Western Kentucky University and earned his B.A. in Sociology as well an M.A.E. in Student Affairs in Higher Education. He served as a graduate assistant in the Career Services Center where he developed an interest in working with students and gearing them towards their educational and career goals. Rickey is looking forward to applying this passion toward students in his new role as Academic Counselor here at FGCU. Some of his interests include playing piano, guitar, drawing, and watching movies.

Kaitlyn Bolander

Originally from West Palm Beach Florida, Kaitlyn came to Florida Gulf Coast University and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Biology Education. After working for New Student Programs this past summer, she is excited to continue advising new students this academic year. Working with students is one of her passions. She also is a Resident Assistant in South Village and involved in Greek Life. In her spare time Kaitlyn likes to go to the beach, spend time with family and friends, and relax.

Anton is a Finance major from Jacksonville, FL. His passion for serving the FGCU community as a student leader started with him stepping out of his comfort zone and exploring possibilities. He has found that the experiences you have in college are the ones you create. Whether he is in the office meeting with students or hanging out with friends, one piece of advice he often shares is to never miss an opportunity to try something new and make the most of your time here, because in the blink of an eye it will all just be memories...make them worthwhile!

Daniela Medina

Originally from Colombia, Daniela grew up in Cape Coral, Florida and is currently attending Florida Gulf Coast University as a Junior. While here at FGCU, Daniela has was an Orientation Leader, is the Vice President of the Gresham-Kite Scholarship House, and is involved in a program called Peers CARE. Daniela is majoring in social work and minoring in Psychology and is currently in the Social Work Program. After completing her Bachelor's in social work, Daniela will then pursue a Master's of Social Work in aspirations of working with women who have been victims of domestic violence. In her spare time, Daniela enjoys attending music walks in the downtown Ft. Myers area, playing her guitar, and spending time with her family and friends.

 


 

 Michael Rybak

Michael Rybak

Originally from Stuart, FL, Michael Rybak is a Junior majoring in Communication and minoring in Theatre. At FGCU, Michael takes advantage of being involved and engaged on campus. In the past, Michael served as an Orientation Leader and Orientation Team Leader for the Office of New Student Programs. Additionally, Michael has worked closely with the Office of Multicultural and Leadership as a Multicultural Ambassador and continues to work with them serving as a member of LEAD Team. Michael also serves as a Resident Assistant for the Office of Housing and Residence Life. Michael really enjoys working with students and encouraging them to reach their highest potentials. Other then his involvement on campus, Michael loves to stay on top of his academics and spend his free time hanging out with friends, going to the beach, and shopping.
