Major: BS Bioengineering
Where are you from?
Port Saint John, FL
Why did you decide to come to FGCU?
I decided to attend FGCU because before choosing a university I emailed professors from different schools to gain insight to help with my decision. By the next morning, every FGCU professor that I emailed had replied with times to meet in person to answer my questions. I didn't even hear from most other schools. On the day of my visit I was able to meet with the Dean of the Whitaker College of Engineering who told me about FGCU's unique research opportunities and the university community. I was convinced that I had found my school before I left his office. Even though the campus has lots of other things to offer, that initial dedication of FGCU professors to help out a prospective student is what shaped my perspective of Florida Gulf Coast University.
What do you most enjoy doing in your spare time?
Whenever I can find the time, I enjoy being active. I like running and hope to complete my first half marathon before I graduate. Kayaking on the FGCU waterfront is a lot of fun and I want to learn how to sail this year.
