Dr. Terence Leary has extensive executive level Human Resources experience within a wide variety of organizations of global, national and regional scope. A graduate of the highly coveted General Electric corporate training program in Human Resources, he has held positions of increased responsibility in Recruiting, Succession Planning, Union Relations, Training & Development and Compensation & Benefits within & external to GE. He has special expertise in the development, implementation & delivery of strategic & tactical training initiatives across diverse employee populations at all organizational levels. During his career, he has also worked as a consulting affiliate for Ken Blanchard & Associates and is licensed to conduct Blanchard workshops in Situational Leadership ( Executive, Middle management, front-line supervision, Self Leadership), Legendary Customer Service, Building High Performing Teams, DISC assessments & Employee Engagement/ Change Management. Fulfilling a long term objective to teach & engage in research at the university level, Terry completed a Ph.D. in Psychology (cognate area: Industrial/Organizational Psychology) in December of 2010. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), The Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychologists (SIOP) & the Society of Consulting Psychologists. His current research interest is focused on leadership; specifically, the relationships among “dark” side vs. “bright” side leader dispositions to measures of organizational effectiveness.
