Mark J. Castellano is Instructor of Brass Methods at Florida Coast University. After twenty-eight years as a music educator in the Public Schools of Louisiana and Florida, he is currently President of the Teachers Association of Lee County. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Louisiana State University and his Masters of Music Education degree from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. His teaching experiences include Middle School, High School and University instrumental music, music methods and music appreciation. He had the unique opportunity to twice create and establish comprehensive, superior-rated instrumental programs at Mariner High School and then Three Oaks Middle School. He served as the Assistant Director of Bands at the University of Southwestern Louisiana [now the University of Lousiana] and also taught at Barry University. Mr. Castellano also works with the Music Foundation of Southwest Florida in the summers as an instructor and conductor.
