Join FGCU Friends of the Arts

Friends of the Arts (FOTA) works to enrich and inspire the lives of the citizens of our community by supporting the arts and contributing annually to the Bower School of Music & the Arts (BSM&A). FOTA's mission is to raise funds to support performing and visual arts at FGCU. The BSM&A includes over 350 art, music and theatre majors, 24 full-time faculty and 30 adjunct faculty, as well as student music ensembles, the Faculty & Guest Artist series, art exhibitions and theatre and dance performances. The BSM&A offers over 150 arts events each year.

Friends of the Arts includes individuals, families and corporations that support programs such as:

  • student scholarships
  • performance and travel awards for competitions and conferences
  • masterclasses, guest lectures, performances, gallery talks & exhibits
  • instruments and equipment
  • art collection acquisition and conservation

Friends of the Arts contributors will receive benefits on several levels, such as e-newsletters, donor recognition, invitations and tickets to exclusive events including premiere nights and VIP receptions. FOTA will promote FGCU as a destination for the Southwest Florida cultural community.
