If you are not yet an FGCU student, visit the Admissions Office Website
If you are a newly-admitted FGCU student please be sure to sign up for an Orientation session. As part of this session you will be meeting with an academic advisor who will assist you in registering for classes for your major.
Program Admission Requirements
Applicants to the FGCU/USF Medical Education (Doctor of Medicine) Program must
- Submit a FGCU Undergraduate Admission Application and satisfy all applicable university admission requirements.
- Enter as a freshman.
- Document Florida residency.
- Document achievement of a SAT score of 1300 or ACT score of 29 or greater.
- Document achievement of an unweighted high school GPA of 3.7 or above.
- Complete the FGCU/USF Medical Education application and all accompanying materials including one letter of recommendation by April 1st preceding first fall semester at FGCU.
- Attend a CAS orientation session and sign an advising contract when transitioning from First Year Advising to CAS Advising during the spring semester of your freshman year.
Applicants to the FGCU/LECOM Bradenton Medical Education (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) Program must
- Submit a FGCU Undergraduate Admission Application and satisfy all applicable university admission requirements.
- Enter as a freshman or have earned up to 59 credit hours at FGCU with an FGCU GPA of 3.3 or above.
- Document Florida residency.
- Document US citizenship or permanent resident status.
- Document achievement of a SAT score of 1200 or ACT of 25 or greater
- Document achievement of an unweighted high school GPA of 3.5 or above or placement in the top 10% of their graduating class.
- Complete the FGCU/LECOM Medical Education application and all accompanying materials by September 1.
- Attend an interview.
- Attend a CAS orientation session and sign an advising contract when transitioning from First Year Advising to CAS Advising during the spring semester of your freshman year.
Applicants to the FGCU/LECOM Bradenton Pharmacy Education (Doctor of Pharmacy) Program must
- Submit a FGCU Undergraduate Admission Application and satisfy all applicable university admission requirements.
- Enter as a freshmen or have earned up to 59 credit hours at FGCU with an FGCU GPA of 3.4 or above.
- Document Florida residency.
- Document US citizenship or permanent resident status.
- Document achievement of a SAT score of 1100 or Act of 24 or greater.
- Document achievement of an unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 or placement in the top 25% of their graduating class.
- Provide evidence of scholarly and extracurricular activities.
- Earn an overall FGCU GPA of 3.4 or above for all coursework.
- Earn an FGCU science GPA of 3.4 or above.
- Complete the FGCU/LECOM Medical Education application and all accompanying materials by September 1.
- Attend an interview.
- Attend a CAS orientation session and sign an advising contract when transitioning from First Year Advising to CAS Advising during the spring semester of your freshman year.
