Dr. Allman's principal research interests are in physiological ecology, population ecology, herpetology, and conservation ecology. He uses reptiles to explore life history evolution and the influence of maternal effects on offspring fitness. He also has an active field site in West Africa where he works on sea turtle biology and conservation.
