The Department of Communication and Philosophy provides a solid foundation for students seeking careers in numerous fields. The Communication students develop thinking, speaking, and writing abilities while also developing practical, professionally marketable skills.  Philosophy provides a solid grounding both in the history and in the practice of philosophy.  Each of these programs prepares students for the fast-paced and constantly changing world. Journalism majors learn to report, edit and present high-quality journalism for a variety of platforms, including newspapers, magazines, audio, video, online and mobile.
