Research Interest: Ecosystems conservation and restoration; behavioral ecology; vertebrate ecology; environmental management, environmental science policy; sustainability including sustainable strategies for conservation and communities, green building, and the sustainable use of natural resources.

Current Projects: Sea grass conservation and restoration in Southwest Florida estuaries, Florida Panther ecology and conservation, bat ecology and conservation, efficacy of mitigation banks in ecological restoration, landscape ecology as a sustainability strategy, developing sustainable affordable communities, life cycle affordability in subtropical housing and landscaping.
