Welcome to the website for the Department of Marine and Ecological Sciences.  The Department comprises a range of programs and activities including undergraduate majors in Environmental Studies, Marine Science, Anthropology, and an M. S. in Environmental Science. We extensively collaborate with the faculty in the Departments of Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences & Mathematics, offering students great flexibility in pursuing scholarly interests. Students in all of our programs engage in an internship and/or senior research project and presentation thus making valuable contacts in the industry and academia. The curriculum in all our programs is hands-on learning with extensive laboratory and field-based activities.
