Research Interests: Research interests: My current research interests are in commutative algebra. Specifically, I have recently been studying rings graded by arbitrary abelian groups and graded properties defined only in terms of homogeneous elements. I have also recently become interested in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). I am a co-PI on an NSF-WIDER grant (recommended for funding Aug. 2013) to increase retention and recruitment of STEM majors at FGCU through improving STEM teaching via a STEM Summer Academy for faculty.
