Sheila came to FGCU as an adjunct in August, 2004 and taught Composition 1 and 2 courses and virtual Professional Writing courses. In the fall of 2006, she enrolled in the Masters in English program. While taking courses, she also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Language and Literature and continued to teach Composition 1 and 2 and Professional Writing courses.

In January, 2006, she became FGCU's Graduate Student of the Year. She graduated in April, 2007 and looks forward to playing an active role in the university community.
