Program Admission Requirements
Applicants to the FGCU/USF Medical Education (Doctor of Medicine) Program must
- Submit a FGCU Undergraduate Admission Application and satisfy all applicable university admission requirements.
- Enter as a freshman.
- Document Florida residency.
- Document achievement of a SAT score of 1300 or ACT score of 29 or greater.
- Document achievement of an unweighted high school GPA of 3.7 or above.
- Complete the FGCU/USF Medical Education application and all accompanying materials including one letter of recommendation by April 1st preceding first fall semester at FGCU.
- Attend a CAS orientation session and sign an advising contract when transitioning from First Year Advising to CAS Advising during the spring semester of your freshman year.
Applicants to the FGCU/LECOM Bradenton Medical Education (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) Program must
- Submit a FGCU Undergraduate Admission Application and satisfy all applicable university admission requirements.
- Enter as a freshman or have earned up to 59 credit hours at FGCU with an FGCU GPA of 3.3 or above.
- Document Florida residency.
- Document US citizenship or permanent resident status.
- Document achievement of a SAT score of 1200 or ACT of 25 or greater
- Document achievement of an unweighted high school GPA of 3.5 or above or placement in the top 10% of their graduating class.
- Complete the FGCU/LECOM Medical Education application and all accompanying materials by September 1.
- Attend an interview.
- Attend a CAS orientation session and sign an advising contract when transitioning from First Year Advising to CAS Advising during the spring semester of your freshman year.
Applicants to the FGCU/LECOM Bradenton Pharmacy Education (Doctor of Pharmacy) Program must
- Submit a FGCU Undergraduate Admission Application and satisfy all applicable university admission requirements.
- Enter as a freshmen or have earned up to 59 credit hours at FGCU with an FGCU GPA of 3.4 or above.
- Document Florida residency.
- Document US citizenship or permanent resident status.
- Document achievement of a SAT score of 1100 or Act of 24 or greater.
- Document achievement of an unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 or placement in the top 25% of their graduating class.
- Provide evidence of scholarly and extracurricular activities.
- Earn an overall FGCU GPA of 3.4 or above for all coursework.
- Earn an FGCU science GPA of 3.4 or above.
- Complete the FGCU/LECOM Medical Education application and all accompanying materials by September 1.
- Attend an interview.
- Attend a CAS orientation session and sign an advising contract when transitioning from First Year Advising to CAS Advising during the spring semester of your freshman year.

*If PHY 2048C and PHY 2049C or PHY 2053C and PHY 2054C were completed as common prerequisites, CHM 2210C and CHM 2211C must be taken to fulfill the core requirements; conversely, if CHM 2210C and CHM 2211C were taken to fulfill common prerequisites, PHY 2048C and PHY 2049C or PHY 2053C and PHY 2054C must be completed.

Additional Graduation Requirements
- A minimum of 120 credit hours.
- A minimum of 48 of the 120 hours must be at the upper division (3000 and higher) level.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 for all coursework attempted at FGCU.
- A minimum grade of C for each course used to satisfy the following categories: common prerequisites, interdisciplinary core, required courses in the major, and restricted electives in the major.
- Satisfaction of CLAST, Gordon Rule writing and computation, and foreign language entrance requirements.
- Satisfaction of the Service Learning requirement. See www.fgcu.edu/connect/
- Thirty of the last sixty credits must be completed at FGCU.
- Completion of the summer course enrollment requirement.
- Submit an application to graduate to CAS Advising by the deadline listed in the FGCU Academic Calendar.
Transfer Notes and Acceptable Substitutes
The following substitutions are acceptable for common prerequisites and must be completed with a grade of C or better
- BSC 1010C: may substitute BSC 1010 and BSC 1010L, PCB X101, X011, X021, X131, BSC X040, 2012.

- CHM 2210C: may substitute CHM 2210 and CHM 2210L, PHY X043/X043L, X048/X048L, X049/X049L or equivalent.
- CHM 2211C: may substitute CHM 2211 and CHM 2211L, PHY X053/X053L, X048/X048L, X049/X049L, or equivalent.
- MAC 2311: may substitute MAC 2233, 2253, X281.
- MAC 2312: may substitute STA 2122, x014, 2023, x024, x321 or equivalent, MAC x234, x254, x282.
