Admissions Process


IMPORTANT: If you are interested in taking one or more graduate-level courses without being admitted into a program at this time, please visit the Non Degree-Seeking Student Web site.

Getting Started

  1. Start early to allow enough time to complete the process (6 months before you want to start class is advised).
  2. Identify the program you're interested in.
  3. Review the admission deadline for the program (View Deadlines).
  4. Review admission requirements for the program. 
  5. Review standardized test requirements (GRE and TOEFL for International Students) for the program.
  6. Obtain an application for admission.

    • Call to have an application mailed: 239-590-7988  
    • Pick up an application at the Office of Graduate Studies in Howard Hall (campus map)
  7. Complete the application and submit it with the nonrefundable $30 application fee (check or money order) to:

  8. Have your official college transcripts sent to the Office of Graduate Studies. (If your undergraduate degree is from FGCU, skip this step.)  
  9. International Students are urged to visit the Office of International Services Web site for additional  requirements and earlier deadlines.
