Dr.George Ansalone is formerly Professor of Sociology at St Johns University in New York. He received his doctorate from New York University specializing in Deviant Behavior, Criminology and the Sociology of Education. 

He is the author of numerous articles and research studies dealing with school structures and their relation to social inequality.

Formerly, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Education, his most recent book" Exploring Unequal Achievement in the Schools: the Social Construction of Failure", examines schools as a possible cause of unequal achievement.
