Description: War, infidelity, murder, paternal filicide, lust, and insanity, are all packed into this Classical Greek tragedy that is considered to be the grandest and most theatrical of all ancient Greek plays. As a part of the only extant Greek trilogy, Aeschylus seems to be recording the tortured beginnings of justice. But what we see in Agamemnon is still the ancient resonances of original violence and primal revenge with a trail of blood that extends from long before the story begins all the way to today.
