Wings of Hope

Natural History & Signs of the Florida Panther Challenge

In this challenge, elementary students learn about the history of the Florida panther and why they are so endangered today. Students learn how we can help save the Florida panther and how to identify the presence of one in the wild. Students are trained to be Florida panther trackers in preparation for their hike with Wings of Hope on panther habitat in the spring time. Students are taught basic traits of panther anatomy and compare themselves to the size of a panther.
