Most of Florida’s natural habitats are wetlands. It is important to protect wetlands because they are a home to many plants and animals. Wetlands are important and valuable to us because they:
Humans have a lot of choices in terms of how we use water and how we treat water. These choices ultimately affect the water supply that supports wildlife and its habitat. By making decisions to use water respectfully and carefully we are making a personal contribution to the protection of the Florida Panther and many other species living in Florida.
