New book debuts at Center events in Portland, Maine:
A Voice for Earth: American Writers Respond to the Earth Charter

The collection opens with Steven C.Rockefeller's description of the crafting of the language for the Earth Charter, which is followed by ten writers who breathe life into the concepts of the Earth Charter with their own original work. Contributors include Rick Bass, Alison Hawthorne Deming, John Lane, Robert Michael Pyle, Janisse Ray, ScottRussell Sanders, Lauret Savoy, and Mary Evelyn Tucker.
