STUART VAN AUKEN, Department Chair of Marketing and Economics, Eminent Scholar and Alico Chair in Market Analysis and Development. Ph.D. in Marketing, University of North Texas. He served as the Dean of the School of Business at California State University, Chico from 1986 to 1990. Dr. Van Auken was recently named the Marketing Educator of the Year by the Marketing Educators' Association. He also received the University's Senior Research Award for outstanding research accomplishment at FGCU and throughout his career. Dr. Van Auken formerly served as Chair of the Department of Marketing and Business Statistics at the University of Louisville. While at the latter, he was also named a Distinguished Teaching Professor. His research interests are in marketing strategy, marketing research, consumer behavior, and marketing education.
