Getting Started
If you are not yet an FGCU Student, visit the Admissions Office Web site.
If you are a newly-admitted FGCU student please be sure to sign up for an Orientation session. As part of this session you will be meeting with an academic advisor who will assist you in registering for classes for your major.
If you are a current FGCU student who wants to change your major or explore the requirements for any Arts and Sciences major, please call (239) 590-7196 to schedule an appointment to meet with an academic advisor.
Program Admission Requirements
- Submit FGCU Undergraduate Admission Application and satisfy all applicable university admission requirements.
- Either a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or a minimum grade point average of 2.75 for the most recent 30 (+/-) college credit hours.
- Provide verification of TOEFL or IELTS scores that meet minimum university admission requirements.
- Submission of a completed Clinical Laboratory Science supplemental application.
- Satisfy Common Prerequisites
- Applicants may apply for fall admission. Applicants must be admitted to FGCU and supplemental application materials must be received prior to the fall semester by the established deadline.
PLEASE NOTE: ANY LOWER-LEVEL (FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE) REQUIREMENTS YOU HAVE NOT YET MET WILL HAVE TO BE COMPLETED AND MAY REQUIRE ON CAMPUS ATTENDANCE. IF YOU HAVE NOT YET MET THE FLORIDA CLAST REQUIREMENT, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR THE TEST IN PERSON AND TAKE THE TEST IN PERSON. STUDENTS NOT LIVING IN THE FGCU 5-COUNTY AREA CAN ARRANGE FOR TESTING AT AN INSTITUTION CLOSE TO THEM. HOWEVER, FEES WILL APPLY. STUDENTS LIVING OUT-OF-STATE MAY ARRANGE FOR TESTING IN THEIR AREA BUT FEES WILL APPLY. CONTACT THE FGCU TESTING CENTER (239-590-7955) IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.
