The College of Health Professions (CHP) provides academic advising to students who are preparing to enter Undergraduate and Graduate majors within the College. CHP houses the School of Health and Rehabilitation (SHR) and the School of Nursing (SON). Academic Advising is provided to pre-majors and majors through School and Faculty Advisors from the sophomore year through graduation. The advising process begins with orientation and progresses with individual student advising until degree program requirements are completed.
Pre-major advising is provided by SHR and SON Advisors until acceptance into a degree program. A selected School faculty or college advisor will be assigned to students upon acceptance into a major.
The CHP School and Faculty Advisors are committed to providing guidance in academic and professional development in a collaborative and mentoring environment. The objective is to foster interaction between the advisors and students in a supportive atmosphere where students will achieve self-sufficiency while implementing their career and educational goals.
