Assistant Professor and Director of Athletic Training Clinical Education was appointed to FGCU in September 2005.  Dr. Felton graduated from West Virginia University with a BS in Athletic Training and received his Masters of Education from The University of Louisville. He went on to receive his Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration form the University of Florida. Dr. Felton began his professional career as a graduate assistant at U of L before being promoted to the Assistant Football Athletic Trainer, where he directed the comprehensive medical care of over 110 student athletes. While at U of L, he also served as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Health Promotion, Physical Education and Sports Studies.  Prior to his appointment at FGCU, Dr. Felton was the Athletic Training Coordinator for Naples Community Hospital where he supervised a staff of nine providing athletic training coverage to Collier County Public Schools.

He is a huge Jimmy Buffett fan that enjoys golf and relaxing at the beach.  Dr. Felton and his wife April reside in Estero, FL with their two children, Delaney and Zachary, and yellow Labrador Retriever, Katie
