Counseling and Related Associations and Social Media

There are many ways to stay in touch with the profession, its developments and advances. Many students chose to join one or more professional organizations at the local, state and national level to become more familiar with the professions, network, access professional development and journals/newsletter, participation in conventions and workshops, discounts on professional materials and access to liability insurance coverage. Many organizations are especially welcoming to student members and provide special discounts and opportunities for pre-professional counselors.
