This website showcases the programs and faculty in the Department of Health Sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University. Distance learning is a unique feature of all of our programs. The Bachelor of Science in Health Science, Master of Science in Health Science, and Health Services Administration Certificate are offered as primarily online programs. The Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science and the post-baccalaureate CLS Certificate are blended programs, with a mix of online courses and face-to-face classes which are offered on campus. The online courses are popular with students that live either on-campus or at a distance from FGCU; are employed full time and cannot attend day or evening classes; or have family situations that limit time away from home.
Our faculty members are experienced online instructors willing to help students learn and progress through the degree and certificate programs in a timely manner. Areas of faculty expertise include Health Services Administration, Health Professions Education, Nutrition, Clinical Laboratory Science, Exercise Physiology, and Public Administration.
