The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is a full-time program designed to prepare caring scholar clinicians for professional practice in contemporary health care settings. Graduates are prepared to assume vital roles in the improvement of client health care outcomes. General education and state-mandated common prerequisites for nursing form the foundation of study for the major. The community partnered, learning-centered nursing curriculum is grounded in knowledge of the theory and practice of nursing with integration of critical thinking, communication, health promotion, caring, and cultural connectedness constructs.
Please contribute to the Brian Alexander Memorial Scholarship to promote the dreams of young aspiring nurses. Brian had just completed the requirements to receive his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree before we tragically lost him this past April. In honor of him, and the excellent nurse he had become, FGCU and Naples Community Hospital are working together to create a memorial scholarship in his honor. Brian was a very compassionate, loving individual who gave of himself freely. His last wish of being an organ donor was granted, and so he continues to give the gift of life today. To create an everlasting endowed scholarship, we must raise a minimum of $10,000. The Alexander Family greatly appreciates any donation you would be willing to make.
