Professor Henderson received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education/Sports Injury Management from the University of South Alabama and her Master of Science in Health Promotion from Northwestern State University.  She has worked as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of West Florida and a physician extender at Andrews Institute.  She spent the last six years serving as Clinical Coordinator and then Program Director for Athletic Training Education at Texas Christian University.

A certified athletic trainer for 15 years, Professor Henderson is licensed in both Florida and Texas.  She is a member of the NATA, SEATA and serves as a site visitor for the CAATE.  She has done extensive community outreach, specifically with the Susan G. Komen 3 Day.
