Associate Professor,  has over 25 years clinical experience in physical therapy.  Dr. Bevins earned her B. S. in physical therapy at the University of Vermont and an M.Ed. and a Ph.D. in early childhood special education at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She has a broad range of academic and clinical experience and training with the young pediatric population and their families. She has provided services to young children both with developmental delays and a variety of disabilities. She has conducted research on the gross motor development of preschool children considered to be at risk for academic failure. Dr. Bevins has acted both as a provider and a consultant in numerous pediatric settings including the neonatal intensive care unit, center- and home-based birth-to-three programs, preschool programs, and regular education programs.
