Physical Therapy Exercise Science (B.S.)




Students in the Exercise Science Major will be exposed to state-of-the-art equipment.  While in the program students will gain knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) required to both use the equipment and to interpret the results. 

The Exercise Science laboratories house a variety of exercise equipment, including sub-maximal and maximal exercise assessment equipment:

  • Resistance Training laboratory with 15 selectorized pieces of resistance training equipment, Olympic platform, Technogym treadmill, and Monarch ergometer
  • Medgraphics metabolic cart with treadmill and ergometer
  • Parvomedics metabolic cart
  • Quinton Cardiac stress system with automated treadmill
  • K4b2 portable metabolic cart
  • Monark ergometers
  • Monark "Wingate" ergometer
  • BodPod body composition analyzer
  • AlterG Anti-Gravity treadmill
  • Hydroworx underwater treadmill with video capabilities
  • Human Performance lab with two Olympic platforms and two Squat racks plus accompanying Olympic bars, bumper plates, weights, dumbbells and training bars and plates
  • Olympic benches
  • Human Performance lab with wood suspension flooring for high impact training (i.e. plyometrics)
  • Three Quinton treadmills
  • Portable high speed cameras
  • Various resistance training equipment
