Florida Gulf Coast University Business Students Inducted into International Honor Society
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University College of Business students will be inducted into FGCU’s Chapter of Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society in Business, Management and Administration at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 7 in Reed Hall Room 249. A reception will follow the induction in Howard Hall Room 111.
Forty-six students, 15 juniors, 16 seniors, and 15 graduate students will be awarded this honor, which is given for good moral character and ranking in the upper 20 percent of their junior, senior or graduate class. Three faculty and administrative staff will also be inducted at this ceremony.
The keynote speaker will be Joseph E. McCann III, Dean, John H. Sykes College of Business, The University of Tampa. Brad Bartel, FGCU Provost, and Richard Pegnetter, Dean of the College of Business, will induct the new members.
This honor society was established to “encourage and recognize scholarship and achievement among students of business, management, and administration” at regionally accredited schools and colleges of business; “and to encourage and promote aspirations toward personal and professional improvement in a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.”
