Name the University's Newspaper

SUBJECT: Name the University's Newspaper

Community Relations and Marketing will launch a University newspaper in July and would like your input in naming the newspaper. Initially, the paper will be published quarterly.

The purpose of the newspaper is to keep our internal and external public informed of the University's growth, progress, achievements, and activities. The newspaper's content will be developed from your (faculty and staff) requests for press coverage on your events and achievements. Given the number of press releases we have generated over the last nine months, we will have a full newspaper of noteworthy news to be shared with our interested and supportive public.

The newspaper will be attractive, clean and very readable. It will be printed in black ink on 50# white bond, not newsprint, with color pictures to accompany some articles. The finished size of the newspaper will be 11 3/8" x 17". The paper's design will feature the University's colors for accent and visual interest.

Everyone at the University will receive a copy of the newspaper. If you have a constituent group, i.e. advisory boards, that you want to receive the University newspaper, please prepare a list with current addresses and email them to us. Currently, we have 2500 "friends" in the University Advancement database.

These are the details worked out thus far; please help us name our newspaper by emailing us your suggestion(s) by Monday, May 28. Thank you for taking the time to name this important medium of communication.
