“Business Writing Made Simple” Workshop

FORT MYERS, FL - Nonprofit and government employees are invited to attend a half-day workshop “Business Writing Made Simple” presented by the Florida Institute of Government at Florida Gulf Coast University from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11. The workshop will be held at the Center for Professional Development at Edison Community College.
The ability to write well is often crucial to professional success regardless of an employee’s job title. This workshop will provide an overview of the key principles of effective writing so that documents will be easier to write and easier for people to understand.
·Focus thoughts and ideas
·Reduce time in writing the opening paragraph
·Develop effective proofreading skills using proven procedures that identify errors quickly
·Review basic rules of grammar
·Edit for clarity, brevity and understanding
FGCU faculty Jennifer Wojcik and Denielle True are instructors for the program.
