FGCU Small Business Development Center for Co-Sponsors FREE Small Business Resources & Network Event III
FORT MYERS, FL - Business owners or individuals who need information about start-up and broadening the scope of business resources should plan to attend the third annual free “Small Business Resources & Network Event” from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 at the downtown Fort Myers Exhibition Hall.
This free event is coordinated with the help of the City of Fort Myers, LEEDCO, Lee County Port Authority, FGCU Small Business Development Center, SCORE, and Business & Industry Services of the Lee County School District. Financial sponsors to support the marketing and resource event are City of Fort Myers, Florida Gulf Coast University and DMJM Aviation.
The purpose of this event is to bring together in one location the various agencies, associations, vendors, and educational institutions that work with small to medium sized businesses. With over 35 agencies attending, this networking event will give businesses an opportunity to explore the many resources and opportunities available to their businesses.
Minority and women owned businesses are encouraged to attend this event for its educational value as well as the opportunity to network their business with other businesses attending the event. Persons considering entering or starting their own small businesses are also encouraged to attend. There is no cost and refreshments will be available.
Some of the 35 participating organizations offering their resources, education and opportunities include the Small Business Administration; SWFL Library Network; Purchasing Departments of the City of Fort Myers and Cape Coral, Lee County School District, Lee County Sheriff’s Department and FGCU; Cape Coral Office of Economic Development; Florida Department of Revenue; Lee County Planning, Business and Industry Services of the Lee County and Collier County School Districts; Southwest Florida International Airport; Consumer Credit Counseling and other similar agencies.
