Business Seniors Score in Top 15 Percent of National Examinees
8/26/2003

FORT MYERS, FL - Graduating seniors in the Florida Gulf Coast University College of Business achieved a score that ranked them in the top 15 percent on a national business exam administered by the Educational Testing Service, or ETS, in Princeton, N.J.

FGCU’s business seniors achieved a composite score that ranked them above the 85th percentile on the exam in 2003, which compares students’ business knowledge across a national benchmark of 388 business schools.

The national benchmark pool includes schools that range from smaller business programs like the University of Northern Colorado to larger schools such as the University of Nebraska and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

“Our College of Business recently moved into the top 25 percent ranking among U.S. business schools with accreditation by AACSB International. This ETS score is a further affirmation of the quality of our faculty and the quality of our students,” dean of the College of Business Dick Pegnetter said. “The academic strength of our undergraduate and graduate programs has moved quickly to add value to the Southwest Florida economy.”

Enrollment in the FGCU College of Business is over 1,400 students, representing one-third of declared majors at the University.
