Area High Schools Head to FGCU for First Invitational Math Competition Nov. 25
FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Gulf Coast University College of Arts and Sciences is hosting its first FGCU Invitational Math Competition for high school students - and a handful of advanced middle school students - 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 25 in the Whitaker Hall Sprint Room and Student Union Ballroom.
FGCU will test participants at five different levels during the competition and award team and individual prizes in algebra, pre-calculus and geometry.
The University invited all high schools in FGCU’s five county service area to participate. FGCU expects 400 to 500 competitors in addition to about 100 school facility sponsors.
