FGCU Invites Media to Observe Weapons Field Experiments, Filming
FORT MYERS, FL -Florida Gulf Coast University invites members of the media to observe field experiments for a new film in production about less lethal weapons, including TASERs, beginning 10 a.m., Thursday, June 23 at FGCU.
The FGCU Weapons and Equipment Research Institute, funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, will conduct field experiments of TASER, chemical agents, impact weapons, and less lethal munitions fired by shotguns and 37mm grenade launchers.
The goal of the project is to provide an overview of law enforcement tools for criminal justice students and law enforcement practitioners.
The actual firing of the weapons and outdoor experiment times are subject to change due to weather.
Media representatives should contact Institute director Charles Mesloh at (239) 229-3462 or firstname.lastname@example.org
