Florida Student Association Appoints Four FGCU Students to State Leadership Positions
FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Student Association at its May meeting appointed four Student Government students from Florida Gulf Coast University to leadership positions in the statewide organization for the 2005-2006 academic year.
The FSA appointed FGCU SG president Andres Andrade, graduate of Estero High School, as vice chair of the Board of Directors, and FGCU SG vice president Jessica Essary, graduate of Barron Collier High School, as chair of the Council of Vice Presidents.
Also, the FSA appointed FGCU SG treasurer Braxton Rhone as chair of the Council of Fiscal Agents, and FGCU SG Senate president as secretary of the Senate Leadership Council.
Composed of student body presidents, vice presidents, treasurers, senate presidents and governmental relations representatives, the FSA (http://www.floridastudentassociation.com) is a student issues group formed in 1976 to represent the students of the State University System of Florida.
FSA coordinates the collective efforts of each university's student governments to provide a cohesive and unified voice to the Florida Department of Education, Florida Board of Education, Florida legislature, executive office of the governor and individual university Boards of Trustees.
