FGCU Undergraduate Business Association Invites Media to
'Business Day at FGCU' Sept. 27
FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Gulf Coast Undergraduate Business Student Association invites media only to the Fourth Annual Business Day at FGCU, Wednesday, Sept. 27 in the Student Union ballroom including a luncheon, noon to 2 p.m., sponsored by Colonial Bank.
Keynote speaker is senior vice president for International Trade and Business Development, Enterprise, Florida Inc. Manuel A. Mencia.
Mencia discusses "Global Economic Integration: A Perspective for the U.S. Economy."
The discussion touches on the historical roots of globalization of the economy, how changes brought about by the fast integration of world economies represent a challenge for U.S. business, and important dimensions of the contemporary globalization process in order to lay the foundation for an effective business strategy.
J. Howard Finch, associate dean of the Lutgert College of Business and Alico Chair in Financial Management and Planning will speak during the luncheon. Finch discusses "Globalization and the Academic Perspective: Critical Issues for U.S. Students.
Five local business leaders will visit classrooms throughout the day interacting with students share their business experiences and to explore possible career opportunities for the students.
Business Day is primarily the effort of FGCU's Undergraduate Business Association students with the assistance of the Lutgert College of Business, FGCU's Career Development Center.
