FGCU Small Business Development Center Presents
"FastTrac® NewVentureT and FastTrac®GrowthVentureT" Workshops
FOR MYERS, FL - The Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center invites individuals pursuing a life-long dream of starting a small business to the FastTrac® NewVentureT program that assists start-up entrepreneurs develop a business concept and evaluate it through each step of business planning. The program begins 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 1 through Dec. 10 at the SBDC Center in Gateway. The deadline for submitting an application is Sept. 21.
FastTrac®NewVentureT is a nationally recognized curriculum from the Kauffman Foundation of Kansas City. The program offers over 30 hours of non-traditional, experiential learning with hands-on coaching sessions. In addition, opportunities to network and learn from peers, including seasoned entrepreneurs and professionals who work with start-up businesses are a key part of the experience.
The cost is $550 per person. The cost for a second person in the same business is free. Fifty percent of scholarships are also available. Only twenty spots remain open.
For small business owners who want to increase profitability, the FastTrac®GrowthVentureT program offers tools to help businesses develop business plans and skills needed to grow successfully. The 30-hour entrepreneurial program meets for ten, 3-hour sessions from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Oct. 9 in Collier County. The cost is $650 per person, second person from the same business is free. Fifty percent of scholarships are available, and only twenty spots remain. Deadline for application submission is Sept. 21.
