FGCU Testing Center Among Top 100 in U.S. to Administer
the Most CLEP Exams
FORT MYERS, FL - The Florida Gulf Coast University Testing Center was recently acknowledged by the College Board for being among the top 100 test centers in the United States to administer the most College-Level Examination Program exams in 2006-07. More than 1,300 colleges administer the exams. The FGCU Testing Center administered 289 CLEP exams between March 2006 and February 2007.
"FGCU Testing Center takes pride to be an open testing center for the CLEP exam. FGCU students and non students from other institutions are welcome to test at our Center," director of Testing and Assessment Janet Ullman said.
CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the United States, which helps students in a wide range of ages earn credit for what they already know, regardless of how that knowledge was acquired. Students who receive a satisfactory score can earn from three to 12 college credits toward a college degree for each CLEP exam taken, depending on the exam subject and the policy of the college or university.
CLEP offers 34 subject tests that allow examinees to show their knowledge in specific areas and gain college credit. Each exam costs $65. The FGCU Testing Center offers computer examinations, which provide instant score reports, access to all exams and flexible testing schedules.
