FGCU Invites Media to Groundbreaking Ceremony of Herbert J. Sugden Hall;
Resort and Hospitality Management's New Home
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Herbert J. Sugden Hall academic building that will house the Resort and Hospitality Management degree program at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 between the Student Union and Parking Garage inside an air-conditioned tent.
The ceremony showcases the world-class Resort and Hospitality Management facility design and program developed with the help of outstanding council comprised of the region's top executives in the hospitality industry, documents the strategic growth of FGCU, and provides opportunity to honor Margaret S. Sugden for her and her late husband's leadership support of this growing University.
The philanthropy of the Sugden family is well known in Southwest Florida. They have been residents of Naples for more than 25 years.
