FGCU's Renaissance Academy Announces "Invitation to Tuscany" Excursion Abroad
FORT MYERS, FL - The Renaissance Academy of Florida Gulf Coast University announces its fall 2008 excursion to Tuscany. This 8-day, 7-night, all-inclusive art, culture and history tour for adults, seniors and retirees, set for Sept. 6-14, 2008, is limited to 26 travelers.
The cultural, artistic and architectural treasures of Florence, Siena, Lucca, Greve, Radda, Volpaia, Certaldo, Bologna and San Gimignano will be explored.
This excursion includes roundtrip airfare from Miami, seven nights in a four-star Tuscan villa, most meals, private English speaking tour guides, art history and wine lessons, deluxe motor coach transportation, all entrance fees, most gratuities, transfers, taxes and surcharges. The tour culminates with a farewell feast at the private castle of Santa Maria Novella, set amidst the Tuscan countryside. The cost is $3,995 per person, double occupancy. Land only cost is $3,095 per person, double occupancy.
The Renaissance Academy is the University's and region's premier lifelong learning program for adults, seniors and retirees. It is based on the premise that learning should never cease, that keeping the mind intellectually, creatively and culturally active fundamentally enriches and invigorates lives. Single lectures, short courses, day trips, computer classes, film series, life enrichment, and travel abroad are some of the programs offered at the Renaissance Academy.
