FGCU Professor, Students Recognized with Association for Childhood Education International Branch Excellence Award for Outstanding Work
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University associate professor Tunde Szecsi, and president of Florida Association for Childhood Education International, was recently awarded the 2008 Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) Branch Excellence Award for outstanding work of the Florida ACEI branch.
ACEI is a professional organization that promotes and supports in the global community the optimal education and development of children from birth through early adolescence, and influences the professional growth of educators.
This award recognizes and spotlights Branch accomplishments in areas of governance and membership, and acknowledges demonstrated excellence in any activity, service or program conducted during the period July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 that directly benefits children and/or educators.
In addition, a Branch Excellence award was given to FGCU Eagles Education/ACEI student branch (student president Lacie Brock, faculty advisor Tunde Szecsi) for the ACEI student chapter's excellent work.
Each branch will receive a certificate and monetary award of $200.
